If you read my Columbia SC Real Estate blog, you more than likely have heard me speak of Twitter. Twitter, as Twitter puts it is “Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”
It is truly a great social networking utility. Just like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIN, and several other social networking sites have, Twitter is now making a name for itself.
How I use Twitter:
Currently, not many people use Twitter in Columbia SC Real Estate. However, more and more people are joining everyday.
I talk with tons of people, mostly Real Estate Professionals, on Twitter. I advertise my Columbia SC Real Estate listings, therefore tons of Real Estate Professionals know about them via Twitter. Today I received a referral from another agent on a client moving to Columbia. They are going to look at one of my listings this weekend.
How YOU Can Use Twitter:
Friends. Just like Facebook, you have people you ‘follow’. You can update it via the internet or via your cell phone through SMS messages. Keep in contact and abreast of what people are doing in your life.
Why? Because its fun, and useful! You can also direct message people, kind of like an IM on other services.
The internet and social media are great things. I have met tons of new people, had tons of business opportunities come my way, and made my clients money using them. Check out Twitter, you will not be sorry!
